Bro. Bob Nappier, Associate Pastor

View the Plan of Salvation

As Associate Pastor, my responsibilities are many-fold.  My most important of these is winning the lost, and my number one position is that of leader of the visitation ministry, which includes door-knocking, visitors, absentees, hospitals, shut-ins, elderly, etc.  I also teach the Adult Sunday School class and fill in to preach whenever I am called upon to do so.

I was saved from a drunkard’s life in August of 1972.  My barber first witnessed to me and later a preacher “watered that seed”.  I was saved in my home in Missouri kneeling beside my couch.  I got the “old time Bible Salvation” (from head to toe), and all between.  I was called to preach in August of 1972.  My call to preach came with my salvation.

My wife, Ruby, and I were teenage sweethearts, and as of August 19th, 2006, we have been married for 45 years and have two grown sons.  I studied at Capital City Baptist Institute, Lansing Baptist Bible Institute and Midwestern Baptist College, receiving a degree in Biblical Studies and Theology and a Bachelor of Religious Education.

Since my salvation, I have tried to stay faithful, serving the Lord.  My endeavors have been in preaching witnessing, soul-winning, building bus ministries, building churches and pastoring.  In 2000, I resigned my pastorate after 22 years.  Seeking the Lord’s direction, I visited many area churches, but I could not really find God in any of them.  After visiting Parker Memorial Baptist Church, the Lord showed us that was where He wanted us to serve Him.  Two years later, Dr. Green asked me to serve as his Associate Pastor, and Lord willing, that is where we will be until the Lord shows us differently.

One of the  greatest goals of my life is to glorify God. I want to win more souls to Christ, be more of a service to Dr. Green and the people of Parker Memorial Baptist Church. I also want to build our visitation program up, to be steadfast, never giving up or giving over to the Devil. I want to be obedient to Jesus Christ, and to finish my course with joy.
